Can I use my own personal photo? What about my contact info?
Yes. When you register and afterwards, whenever you login, you will always be able to upload or edit your personal information, including photo, email address(s), web site address(es), phone numbers, realtor designations and awards, etc.
Can I use a personal logo? What about a Custom Header?
Yes. You are able to upload your own personal logo, or even create a complete Custom Header for your newsletter. We'll even build one for you! (Upon request - small additional charge applies.)
What about formatted email?
One of the free bonuses of your JLSNews.com account is that you also have unlimited access to formatted email. The system "borrows" the header and footer of your newsletter and provides "message box" where you can write emails to your clients. Send them one at a time or in groups. Your choice!
Where do the articles for the newsletters come from?
Each month at least 3 new Feature Articles will become available for your use. We do everything we can to stay abreast of the latest trends and important events related to the Local and National Real Estate market. You will also have access to an Archive of Articles, featuring general topics related to real estate and past Featured Articles.
Will I be able to write my own articles and include them in my newsletter?
Yes. In the "Create Articles" section of your web account there are tools that will enable you to copy and paste an existing article (from MS Word or other text program), edit the article and save it to your own personal list of articles. Add uploaded graphics (photos, diagrams, etc.), give it a title, add color! Once it is added to your available article list, you can insert it into your newsletter.
What about HTML pages. Can I include those?
You will be able to create your own HTML pages (using your own FTP system) and link your newsletter to those pages (use the "Important Links" section of your newsletter).
Can I modify the color theme and fonts for my newsletter?
Yes. You can choose personalized colors to modify the color theme of your newsletter.
Will I be able to view and test my finished newsletter before I send it out?
Yes. The system allows you to check progress throughout the newsletter building process.
Where do I get email addresses?
Your email list may start out small, but it can grow very quickly. Get in the habit of telling everyone with whom you interact: "I've got a monthly email newsletter that I send out. Can I get your email address? I'd be very happy to add you to my list."
If you want to target a specific neighborhood, you'll have to get addresses the old fashioned way - by going door-to-door. After you've introduced yourself and your services, you can offer to add the homeowner to your monthly list. As soon as you let them know how important and helpful the information can be, many (but not all) will be glad to sign up.
Once I build my newsletter, how do I email it to my list?
Our system enables you to easily upload your email list in .csv format. Most email clients include an easy to use export tool to export your email list to a .csv file, including Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo and many others.
How do I update my email list each month?
You may upload a new email list each month from wherever you are keeping/maintaining your list. Or, you can add/edit addresses to a list(s) that you maintain online as part of your JLSNews.com account.
Will I be able to create different versions of my newsletter and split my email list into groups?
Yes. You are able to create multiple versions of your monthly newsletter as well as building as many different email lists as you choose. Send Newsletter Version 1 to List 1. Send Newsletter Version 2 to List 2 and so one.
Can I send out more than one newsletter per month?
Yes. However, sending out multiple copies of newsletters to the same list of emails may actually reduce the impact of your message - not enhance it. We recommend sending out one newsletter and one follow-up email per month to each mailing list, about once every two weeks alternating.
Can I cancel my service at any time?
Yes. Your account will be charged $29 per month until you cancel. As such, your credit card information will be kept on a secure server, accessible only to yourself via your account login and by the administrators of this service. You will receive a credit receipt each month via email. Should you cancel your service, your account will be rendered inactive; this means you will be able to reactivate it at any time by paying the monthly service fee.
What about a personal online Blog?
This is one of the Enchanced Features currently under development. Should the option become available, you will be notified by email (registered Users only).
What about Just Listed/Just Sold email announcements? Thank you notes? Open House announcements?
These are all features planned for our site. Should these options become available, you will be notified by email (registered Users only).
